2018 Holiday Shipping: Setting Expectations


As the holidays roll around, you can bet that our staff will work hard to help you make a special gift for someone on your list.  That said, there are many moving parts to ensure a successful delivery, and often, any shipping carrier during this time of year will face the daunting task of keeping up with mail and packages.  

In this article, our goal is to set realistic expectations for our shoppers who order during the holiday season.

Shipping Cut Off Dates for USPS, FedEx to USA Destinations

We ask for at least 1-2 business days (Monday-Friday) to process orders. We may manage to ship your order the same day if placed before 1:00pm EST. The shipping cut off dates below do not include our processing time, so please plan to order 1-2 days ahead of this schedule.

FA Economy Free Shipping

If you qualified for and choose FA Economy free shipping, please know that shipping carrier and method is chosen by the staff as the most economical way to ship your order.  This may be USPS First Class mail, or if shipping weighs more than 13 ounces, USPS Priority Mail, or FedEx Ground.  Please do not use FA Economy if you are concerned that a shipment may not reach you well before the holiday week.

International Holiday Shipping

We highly recommend that you do not attempt to have order shipped to an international destination if you are hoping to have it arrive before December 25th.  Simply put, there is a high risk of delays due to the carrier's high load and customs processing in your country.

Carrier Overload During and After the Holidays

When the main holidays have passed, carrier workload doesn't necessarily improve until end of January. Please keep this in mind while shopping with us or another vendor. We will certainly do our best to meet the expectations of shoppers during this time of year, but we, as most retailers, will depend on the speed and accuracy of the carriers you choose to ship with.
