I asked for my Route insurance payment to be refunded in my RMA, but it was rejected. Why?

When you purchase Route Shipping Insurance, you are agreeing to a contract between yourself and Route.  We send your insurance payment to Route.  If your order is delivered without incident, Route's obligation to insure your shipment is completed. We will not refund your shipping insurance payment as we no longer have it.
