Q: I recently purchased 6 Seimitsu PS-14-K buttons and 2 clear button covers to match. I own a TE2+ and the Sanwa pushbuttons that come with it are so snug in the holes, as soon as you snap them in they are so hard to even turn. When I go to install the Seimitsu PS-14-K buttons, they just fall into the hole, not snug at all and come out with the slightest effort. I can pull the button completely out without even pushing in the two plastic buttons on the side...
Am I doing something wrong? Are these buttons not good with this stick?
A: The plexiglass for the TE2 allows for easy art swapout. In order for this to work, the plexiglass ring was added to act a spacer to maintain a snug fit for the buttons. Be sure this ring is transferred to your new buttons. We also offer 1/16 plexi that does not use the button rings. https://www.focusattack.com/blank-plexi-cover-for-madcatz-t-e-2-t-e-2-1-16-adjusted/
This unfortunately does not work for "low-rise" buttons such as Seimitsu PS-15 models. Please use the 1/16 plexi if you wish to use these buttons.
