My FA SO.CD PCB V2 is supposed to say "V2" on it. Why does it read "V1"?

In March of 2023, Capcom announced new rules for SOCD cleaners in order to qualify for the Capcom Pro Tour.

Before that, the convention was UP + DOWN = UP, meaning simultaneous button presses in these directions would result in UP direction.  CPT now changed this to UP + DOWN = NEUTRAL.

Our SO.CD PCB was hard-wired to the older convention. To address the new rules, our tech support team had to rewire these PCBs to accommodate the logic required to perform neutral on U+D.

It is too late to change the version lettering, as hundreds of PCBs were already manufactured.

If you happen to check the back of the PCB and see V1 lettering, please know that it was already re-wired to V2. You will see this after installing the PCB and connecting your wiring to buttons and checking the logic. Pressing UP and DOWN simultaneously will result in no activity, which abides by CPT rules.
